Terms of Service

Effective June 9, 2026

These Terms govern your use of Moov In Checklist (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

What the Service is

Moov In Checklist is a tool for renters to document the condition of a rental property at move-in and produce a PDF you can send to your landlord. The form template we provide is independently authored. It is not affiliated with the National Association of REALTORS® or any state REALTOR® association. We are not a law firm. Nothing in the Service is legal advice; we don't guarantee a landlord, judge, arbitrator, or court will accept the PDF. However, this service enables the renter to document easily, in real-time, time-stamped conditions at their leased property using their smart phone.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a U.S. resident to use the Service.

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. Let us know promptly at info@themoveinchecklist.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

Payments

Building a report is free. Generating the final landlord-ready PDF requires a one-time payment per report, processed by Stripe. Prices are shown at checkout. Because the PDF is digital and delivered immediately upon payment, all sales are final once the PDF has been generated. If something went wrong with your purchase, email info@themoveinchecklist.com within 7 days and we'll work with you in good faith.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
  • Use the Service to harass, defame, or threaten anyone.
  • Scrape, copy, or resell the Service or its content.
  • Attempt to break security, reverse engineer, or interfere with other users.
  • Use the Service for anything illegal.

Your content

You own the photos, notes, and other content you put into your report ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and transmit Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service for you (for example, to generate your PDF and email it to your landlord at your direction). We do not use Your Content to train AI models.

Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE PDF WILL BE ACCEPTED BY ANY LANDLORD, COURT, OR REGULATOR, OR THAT IT WILL RESULT IN ANY PARTICULAR OUTCOME REGARDING YOUR SECURITY DEPOSIT.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $100. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, OR DATA.

Indemnification

You'll defend and indemnify us against claims arising from Your Content, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.

Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that pose a security or legal risk. Sections that by their nature should survive (payments owed, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnification, governing law) survive termination.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

Changes

We may update these Terms. If changes are material, we'll update the effective date and notify you by email or in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
